My Approach, and advice on choosing a wedding photographer
You’re getting married! I’m so happy you’ve made it to my website. Finding a photographer can be one of the more overwhelming tasks in planning a wedding. How does one choose while being constantly bombarded with options on social media?
Here is the best advice I can give you on choosing a photographer after years in the industry and having worked with all different types of couples:
FIRST: find someone you will have a blast creating with.
SECOND: (of course) you must consider their style of images- find someone whose images inspire you.
THIRD: the cost is important to most couples, too. Stressing over a stretched-thin budget can detract from your wedding planning experience.
I firmly believe that the factor that will most affect the outcome of your wedding photos and the enjoyment of that experience is finding the right fit.
There are two points I would like to bring to your attention if you are considering choosing me as your wedding photographer:
In my years of shooting weddings, I don’t recall a single couple with whom I could not make a particular budget work (within reason). If it feels like we can create something extraordinary together, we will find a way.
Some folks may consider a photographer to be “just another vendor.” In that case I might not be the best fit if you are looking for a transactional vendor/client interaction. Some of my fondest memories have come from photographing weddings, and the interactions and friendships I’ve had while working with my couples.
Let’s start the conversation! Send a message, we’ll start by seeing if we’re a good fit and go from there.
